Hands down the Fulltone Clyde Mccoy slays the Vox 847 Clyde McCoy.  I always wanted a Fulltone wah but it costs $250 on ebay.  Sux!

Shempre. I looked up these vids because I'm building a replacement wah wah board for my broken Crybaby. I'll use 'em as reference tones. :)

Why build? Two reasons: because I get my rocks off on building something that I can use and I don't have money to even buy a new JD Crybaby.

VoodooChild24: I like the Fulltone's range, but for some reason I hear more midrange in the Vox pedal, which I like. Is it just because my ears are faulty? The nice thing about the FT CM Wah though is that it remedies the mechanical problems with Dunlop style housings which limit the range of the pot.

Well they're not exactly DIY since I copied the designs somewhere else - at least that's how I see DIY. I'll post the clips of the Fuzz Face clone again, as well as the modded GCB 95 I have before it went bonkers when I convert them to wav/mp3.

I'll start on the wah as soon as www.smallbearelec.com is up again so I can order the parts. I'll keep you posted.

Ps. I'm not doing this to take BAMF's share of the market; it's just fun for me. :)

Im looking forward to it. :)

Clone or not clone, as long as you do it yourself, then that's DIY for me. Hehe..

I once bought a tube od kit from Alexan, bought it home, opened the box, took one look at it then i put everything back in again. Never touched it since. I think i gave it away already. That od looks might complicated, but the fuzz face with the fewer parts, seems good for beginners like me.

Marco, any pics of your fuzz face clone?

Here are some clips. Feedback from you guys (strengths, areas for improvement, etc.) would be appreciated.

Fuzz Face Clone Demo (320 KBPS mp3, 4.26MB)

http://www.MegaShare.com/80372

I used 2N2222 Silicon Transistors. I followed the specs on this website for the Sili-Face I and Sili-Face II:

www.runoffgroove.com

So go ahead, make silly, errr, sili-faces. *roflmao*

Fuzz Face Clone Video (3gp):

http://www.MegaShare.com/80375

Modded Wah Demo (192 mp3 kbps):

http://www.MegaShare.com/80376

I plan to use the stock 2N3904 transistors when I build the replacement board.

Cheers
