as for rico...
fave kong works ni rico nung "its not easy being green" and the two albums before that....he played 'nice' guitars too back then. i like his playing in "its getting late" parang the edge...pero ive heard the version na ang kumanta si bamboo...mas gusto ko yung rico-backup & guitars and bamboo-lead vocals combo.

Unang beses kong narinig yung 'Pula" sa Carbon Stereoxide beatles na beatles e. Sayang medyo dull nga lang. Pero obvious ang Beatle-ness sa songs ni Marcus.

ang alam ko yung album nilang "carbon stereoxide" they made it after hearing the concert of "the cure"...may pagka beatles din kung pakikinggan mo ng paulit-ulit...

pero many of d forumers here stil dont get d idea of rico sounding lyk d beatles or just by hearing almost all of his popular songs, ung mga popular songs ha..ung mga serious pa ha.it really sounded lyk d beatles.

well, cguro lng ha....the forumers here are really that young or maybe not that musically enthusiast' as i expected.

to mention...ung thread ko nga na "cnong may gusto ng grunge..." wala masyado nkaappreciate, or hindi nga kilala ung mga bands.of course kilala nila nirvana, kaya nga lopsided ung thread eh.well i dont blame them for not being in the nineties..

..but, being a musician or an artist..they shud know well.

& as far as im concern w/ this thread, not bcos i started this...i juz cant beliv how lopsided this thread has become.

mas blues inspired ung e-heads e. saka iba river maya... mas beatles progression para sakin e-heads kaya ely... saka mas ok boses ni ely.
ung sa mga pinoy na kanta di masyado halat pero sa mga english nilang kanta tulad nung mga trip to jerusalem, waiting for the bus, fruitcake etc... basta para sakin lang.
