Fender Champion 40?
« on: April 19, 2016, 05:37:22 PM »
Hi,

I'm a bassist so forgive me.  I'm thinking of buying a guitar amp.
We're a trio in a band and I'm thinking if the Fender Champion 40 is enough to cut through.

Thank you in advance.

depends on the genre, and on the venue. if you will be playing in a large venue, this wouldn't cut it. you need something with a higher headroom, higher wattage rate.

if you play soft sounding music like pop, blues, or jazz, it might work for small venues, but, if your drummer plays loud, this will not work for you.
hahaha ako binibiyak ko muna yung wetpaks para makita kung may yellow thingy hahahaha

thanks! We actually got the Champion 100.  stretched my budget a bit, but it's worth it.

Fender Champ 100, is a 2X12 with 100watts. That will definitely will cut thru. Nakagamit na ko nyan, we're on black death genre, even our drummer abuse it's blast beats w/ crashing china. angat parin yung gitara.

You may want to try Laney 65R, solid state 1x12 65watts, angat parin kahit nasa 4 or 5 yung volume.
