Maximizing Pedalboard Velcro
« on: June 24, 2016, 10:01:36 AM »
Hi, folks!

I just bought 2 meters of Godlyke Pedal Tape for my DIY pedalboard.

My current chain is this:
Guitar
>Morley Power Wah
>DigiTech Drop
>Shredhead
>Metal Zone
>Amp

The board that I'm building is around 25"x13". I'm afraid that I might run out of pedal tape due to my Morley's huge size.

Question is, how can I maximize the 2m worth of pedal velcro without sacrificing security of my pedals on my board?

Thanks!

pedal tape has a super strong hold. I think 2 long strips on the morley will be fine.
hahaha ako binibiyak ko muna yung wetpaks para makita kung may yellow thingy hahahaha

1 square inch sa top at bottom ng pedal will do. Kahit itapon mo di matatangal yan

I thought about this, and realised that the best way to stick velcro on the bottom of your pedals is to stick them vertically on the left and right corners, covering as much flat surface of the baseplate as possible. This way, you have better chances of a secure hold with horizontal rail-type pedalboards.

that is costly to do though.

do you have a board or rail type? if board, you might want to consider using your old carpets sa bahay, or get a cheap one that's durable. tipid ka na sa Velcro, looks fancy too if you choose a good carpet design

Thanks for the advice, guys! :)

It's a DIY wooden pedalboard. It's a rail-type board.

No need to cover the whole base, basta malakas yung kapit.

yun yung mga gusto ko, yung malakas kumapit at kahit anung lindol o unos man ang maranasan hindi siya bibitaw sa iyo...

#hugot

I just installed em. The board itself is heavy as **** yet I was able to lift it using my on-board power supply with the Pedal Tape.
