lets say tuning is standard, guitar is a fender strat.
THe string is 9s... do thinner strings go offtune more or easier than 10s, 11, 12s
i changed from 10s to 9s and that seems to be the change i noticed.

did you intonate your guitar after changing gauges? did you adjust your truss rod? those can be factors as well when you change string gauges
but to answer your question, it shouldn't go off-tune more easily as long as your guitar is properly set up for the string gauge you're using. and never forget to stretch new strings prior to heavy use

Everything is set, truss rod and all that... dont know maybe the guitar is still adjusting to the new string change and the cold weather, winter d2 eh rrrrrr
