Datu's Tribe, how are they? Attended its first album launch at the defunct Club Dredd where the late Bella Tan was in attendance.

We thought it cool, a mainstream label exec in the most alternative of all gigs, showing support for indie music, sans showbiz entourage and scribes. Giveaways at the time were cassette tape versions of CD albums. :)

I believe Datu's Tribe first album "Galit kami sa Baboy" was released by Universal Records in 1995.

Aga Mulach Experience is essentially Sandwich... Mike, Diego, Myrene, sans Raymund and Mong. The vocalist's name was Mario who now resides in the US.

That's right, the album title. So that was 1995. Thanks, Dindin.
Seems like after this event, the major labels' support for indie music-local bands waned, if I remember correctly.
The bands now have it better, thanks to the persistence of our talents who paved the way for it and continue to rock.

He said "He's a gay"
