Problema mo sa exhaust fan, maingay.  Wala akong alam na studio na naka-exhaust fan para lumabas ang init.  Ang pinaka-least, a quiet Mitsubishi split type air con.  Yun lang, mahal.

Pwede siguro, window type aircon, yung lang papatayin mo tuwing mag re-record kayo o mag-mimix (the noise of the air con can mask your sound, expecially on the mid and higher frequencies).

BTW, this is applicable for NOT serious type recording studios.

Open the windows...  :-D

Seriously, though. Unless you are actively cooling your studio, there is no escaping heat as it will conduct itself through the walls and ceiling. There are 3 ways by which heat will find itself into a place: conduction, convection and radiation. Air gaps between the inside and outside walls will provide a measure against conduction, but unless the trapped heat is vented, convection will be your next enemy (remember the turbo broiler?). A windmill roof ventilator can help reduce the heated air usually stored in ceilings; note however that  these windmills can be damaged during storms. Heat also travels as infrared radiation in between walls; if you can feel heat even if you don't see a source, that is already infrared. A means of reflecting it will help minimize heat transmission.

Of course the easiest solution is to install an aircon.  8-)

kung malabong option ang aircon at the moment, exhaust fan ang kailangan mo...pero this means lalabas din dun ang tunog. so ma-defeat ang soundproofing mo. pwede ka gumamit ng drum type na fans along with ducting para di masyado lumabas ang tunog, pero mahal din aabutin...

so either get an A/C ( a 2nd hand 1hp you can get for as low as 5k i think, just get one from a reliable source, though best ang brandnew, they're quieter and less elec. consumption). or mag exhaust fan ka, you (and your neighbors) will just have to live with the noise leaking out of it...

but if I were you. get a new one, credit card kung kelangan...the AC will pay for itself pag dumami na clients mo because of the better playing enviroment in your studio...A brand new one one will also last longer and will not need major servicing for at least a year or two.

Paint the roof white or silver. Any other color will tend to absorb heat faster, with green being the color which absorbs infrared the most (that's why plants are green).

guys, how bout putting tiles on the outside walls? this way, the heat and sunwaves will bounce back/reflect so it would not penetrate your walls.. ito rin dati naiisip ko.. since diba ang nasa, they use special tiles para sa spacecrafts nila. hehehe... idea lang naman.. pero mahal toh. heheheh

pero syemper mas sure is mag aircon ka talaga. i recommend split type kung mag-rerecording ka.. or maybe install sa ceiling mo between the roof ng heat insulators.... yung parang foil...

to isolate sound inside a room, you will want to pad the inside of the room, not the exterior. afterall, you are trying to contain sound INSIDE a given space to keep it from getting it out, right? popular wall treatments include auralex and whatever else is similar out there these days, however, these things are only secondary to the structure of the room and how it is designed. Considering sa Pinas 'to, the walls are prolly made of hollow blocks or something. Try and line the walls with heavy cloth curtains, maybe install wooden walls that are set apart from the concrete wall structure by a gap filled with insulation. The space will help decouple the noise, vibration and temp from the outside of the house. Now, if you have quite a bit of recording gear and tube amps on the INSIDE, it is going to be hot as hell so you had best invest in some kind of exhaust fan otherwise you are going to fry in your room.

My control space is lined with heavy wool curtains that work well with my gobos.
