Is this possible??
« on: April 19, 2007, 08:05:59 PM »
I have a Bill Lawrence strat, and medyo ok naman sya, but, it's not really ME.
its an HSS, and the H might be changed to a DMZ
So, I might have the Mid pickup removed, and i ask, is this wiring possible??
1st: Neck Pickup
2nd: Kill
3rd: Neck and Bridge Pickup
4th: Bridge Single
5th: Both bridge coils

If it is, where can i have it done?
If you can do it, please mention the pro's and con's, and how much?
thanks

And where can i get a lock-nut for a strat? what needs to be done?
thanks ulit :-D

With a normal 5 way switch maybe its not possible. With a 4 pole 5 way switch, baka sakali. even the schaller mega switch baka mahirapan.

recomended ways of wiring a kill switch:

-use 1 volume pot per pickup, set to the middle then kill one volume then start toggling away.
-use a switch that short circuits the wiring inside when engaged.

i dont like twisting the volume knob when performing (if ever i am :-D) kasi eh.. The trem bar is usually in the way hehe
i never thought about that...1 volume per pickup instead of a master-volume...hmm
