meron ako ibanez jem. problema, mga pondo nmin more on classic love song, jazzy grove, konting alternative and rock, rnb, retro. mas ok kya kung mag strat ako or tele?

strat or tele ms malimit gmit ko licks is jazz.

hindi naman sa itsura ng gitara yun e, its in the sound it produces. Kahit pa naka BC rich ka, e kung bagay naman yung tunog e di OK lang

Naivete at its finest.

I think the JEM is flexible enough for the genres that you mentioned. However, a tele might get you closer to that 60's and 70's R&B chinky sound (think Al Green, James Brown, Motown, and Stax Records).

Is this a musical or social question?if it` a musical question any guitar can be used in any pop genre of music,but if you`re talking about how a guitar looks and not the function then that`s a social question.It`s like using an solid electric bass on a Jazz Quartet rather than a classical Contra Bass.
In that case if your concerned on the looks of the guitar for playing a variety of genre,the strat looks like it can fit those forms of music but not on heavy rock or metal.

i'd say strat....kse high out put ung jem tsaka humbucker sya.....ung strat single coil kya mas may twang/clean ung sound in my opinion.

hmmm...kung tunog ang pagbabasehan, kahit anong gitara yan, bsta maganda tunog ok...
pero kung looks, eh ndi bagay ang jem sa rnb na tugtugan..that's what i mean
