3rd string buzzes when fretted on the 8-10th frets. how do i remedy this? i tried adjusting the height but didnt help. is this a truss rod problem? any help will be much appreciated.

Could be lots of things, but if it's just the 3rd string I would suspect you need a fret leveling.

I don't know what guitar you have but this seems to be a common problem with Ibanez Artcores.

my main axe is an artcore semihollow but i just avoid fretting over those areas

Like I said, fret levelling.

I have 2 Artcores. Both had frets that were uneven in height. This is frustrating since everything else on the guitar seems perfect. In your case, it's probably the 12-14th frets that are high, same as on my AG75.

A luthier can easily crown and level the frets, eliminating that buzz.
