dude... it's not in the springs.. it's in the technique u use po...
jordison, adler, roddie, donati, etc.. they have fast kicks..
but they have different "timpla" configuration of pedals..
donati uses heel toe, adler uses a diff. method of heel toe in his former
axis pedals, thomas lang uses heel down, jordison uses heel up..
refer on the thread here about foot technique.. mas makakatulong un..
gudluck on your blastbeats...

light springs actually hinder fast playing  :-D mabagal kasi yung response ng footboard kapag maluwag yung spring. lagyan mo ng konting tension

best setup for you will be to try adjust the spring tension so that the footboard comes back up at the same time as your foot. if you feel delays on the footboard then make the spring tension tighter. experiment lang bro

and if you need to do 32nd blast beats, the best advice is to practice  :-D

baka makisama. hehe

nice! masaya naman ako sa relation ko nung yan ung pedal ko.. medium ang tension ng springs ko dyan at 40 degrees ang angle ng beater ko.... it worked for me.. tapos nung IC nako.. 50 degrees na beater ko at supertight naman ang springs.. no need to buy springs first...

^^^^That's the hardest part, imo. Trial and error kasi ang gagawin mo.
Aside from spring tension & technique, some factors that you have to consider are; Cam's shape & size, weight of the beater, and the way you tune your bass drum. Tight tuning produce bouncier response, but the more you muffle the batter head - which is very common - the less bounce you get; same effect with loose tuning.

The basic thing to do is to develop your technique with your right foot first, then apply it to your left foot. Once you master your foot technique, those little adjustments with your pedals becomes easier for you to discover.
Its personal, kaya trial & error lang siguro muna....saka practice. :-)
So Be It.

mismo! un na un.. sum up mo lahat ng nandito... ok pedal mo... :-D
as far as i can remember light ang feel nyang pedal mo.. so take advantage
of it... tsaka dame din yan adjustments.. kalikot lang....
at experiment... the best way to do a blast or 32nd notes is to practice them
slowly... to achieve accuracy at gwapings ka pa.. ayt?

I adjusted my spring to very light and tilted my beater far back than usual. Ayos!

Tama ka Pao, maganda yung feel ng pedal pag sumusunod sa pagtaas ng paa.

Pero nasa paa mo din yon.. Or siguro pakiramdam mo sa pedal... Kasi ung elim ko, ok na ok sakin yung feel, pero nung sinubukan ng uncle ko hindi raw sumusunod sakanya ung pedal pag taas nya ng paa nya.. Pero perfect setup yun para sakin.. :-D
