fixed bridge=more sustain

This is not always true...

I can show you guitars with trem that has more sustain than a fixed bridge...

fixed bridge man....I've used tremolos before ang hirap imaintain....madami ng guitar nasira ung body because of the pressures kapag nakatiwangwang lang ung guitar mo..hassle kaya sa fixed bridge suave lagi ng intonation ng guitar and also easy to maintain....bahay kasi namin tabi ng beach.

yesterday, as i was playing with my guitar, may na-discover ako na hnd ko natry before... ung expression pedal pala ng Boss ME-30 ko ay pwede maging tremolo... as in kaya nyang gawin yung sound ng floating bridge... i appreciate the features that floating bridge have pero bro.. yung gamit kong guitar.. fender strat lang.. wala pang nakasabit na tremolo arm... so kung ako sa'yo, fixed bridge ka na lang para hassle-free at saka more sustain!:D

yea i know that... but i haven't appreciated dimebag's tone that much... i love the squeels that you can get from a floyd rose pero mas maganda pa rin ang gitara na always in tune.. additionally, it actually depends on my preferences... :-)

It's not the guitar's fault...

i don't. hehehehe... mas gusto ko tone ni mustaine/ marty friedman/ zakk wylde eh...

anyway guys, tanong ko lang... mas mahirap ba ibend ang strings sa string thru bridge kaysa sa floyd rose trem?

it really depends on the player's type of music and application. most of the time, i only use the tremolo to vibrate chords or when i want to articulate or sustain the last note of a particular passage. you just need to adjust your technique in bending and vibratos when you're using a floyd-rose type tremolo. also, maintenance is an issue here. :-D

for me, i own both... and through that i am convinced na i really like fixed bridge... but, there are times na im missing those dives in a tremolo guitar... so once in a while i use my tremolo bridged guitar for those vibrating tones... it really depends on the mood though...

sa opinion ko, fixed bridge. simple. easy.

Pero your choice should include the music you play too. I play in a band where only a few minutes is alloted for setup. Of course if my guitar has floating bridge, my time would be wasted in tuning.

Again, practically, If you think you won't need a trem, don't get one.
