please comment on my pics

I'm new to photography. Kindly comment on my pics. These were taken using canon 400d. It seems that my pics are not that sharp and not as bright.

i like the album. i think it's just fine although yes there are some shots that needed some extra sharpness and light to enhance the image.
but still... I think you're good in taking portraits

yup. they're okay. you could probably use faster shutter speeds on others so as to have em sharper to prevent camera shake or to stop movement talaga. what mode were you shooting in?

I was shooting in Aperture priority mode.

ah ok ok. so yan na yung fastest shutter speed na pwde for that aperture. okay naman eh. if you want sharper, you'd have to go to manual and set the shutter speed yourself yun nga lang, maguunderexpose ka. kit lens ba yan? that's a very capable lens and very underrated IMO you just have to learn to go work with and around its limitations

i just looked a the second page. ganda nga ng moods. especially of the kid. and you do have some really sharp ones there din.

I was using both kit lens and 50mm 1.8.
I am just using available light. Di ko kasi makuha yung gusto kong effect pag may flash.

aahhh. ok. 50mm gamit mo for the kid noh? at 1.8? really nice lens and great for low light

kung gusto mo mag flash pero naiinis ka, try mo, takpan ng tissue yung flash mo. DIY diffuser for on board flash. hehe

and check your WB din im not so sure kasi kung ganyan gusto mong effect =)


the best shutter speed is 1/60 okay na yan =)

pero ako since madalas ako sa CR hahahahaha gamit ko is 160 hahahahhaa

schnitzerz4, ganda ng mga pictures mo sa smugmug. Buhay na buhay. Ang sharp at ang linaw ng kulay. Inedit mo ba pics mo? Unsharp mask?

yup bro since flat lahat kasi ng setting ko sa camera kaya dapat mag sharpen ako ng photo =) duda kasi ako sa sharpening settings ng camera ko =)

Lower the ISO to have lesser grains (digital noise).
Play with your camera using Manual mode.
Use flash para walang blur.
