Laptop Recording Problem (need help)

Hi..I'd like to use my laptop for recording..It's a Compaq Presario V6000.Ang nangyayari kase,pag ino-open ko ung cakewalk, may lumalabas na dialog box.."the following drivers either do not support the current audio format,or are in use by another application..please choose whether you want to disable them or use them anyway". Pag use anyway, naga-arm un track for recording, pero pag recording na mismo, wala naman pumapasok na audio..tnry ko nman ibang application, un Magix, nagrerecord nman cya(may audio), kaso un pasok nung audio after the recording, wala sa timing, hindi cya nka-align sa ibang track. Masisiraan na me ng ulo.  Bka meron kau masusuggest na solution. Ok ba external na soundcard? Hope I made my situation clear to you guys. Thanx in advance!

Since I think you are using your laptop's onboard audio, I suggest using a samplerate of 48 khz. Most laptop audio are incapable of dynamically changing sample rates, plus their internal clocks are often fixed at 48 khz.. Make sure your DAW projects are also set to 48 khz.

Wow thanx for the quick reply sir! Ok na un cakewalk, nagrerecord na ng audio. I'll see what happens later, try ko magrecord ng full song. Thanx ulet. Yeeahhhh!!!
