Firewire Card

im using an ASUS P5L-MX mobo. 

i have plans of buying a firewire mixer and i dnt wanna purchase a new mobo with firewire connections.

if i buy a firewire card, does this solve the problem? pde ba to install sa current mobo ko?     salamat. (sorry. [grape] ako sa hardware. hihihi  )

Pwede as long as you buy a FW card with Texas Instruments chipset and you have a free pci slot. Not sure kung may pcie firewire na.
