well there are quite a few low gain od's I like when I play blues

ibanez Tubescreamers: I like the nice midrangy ts9 but I like the TS9DX too which has modes with more bass and less gain

boss blues driver: cool gritty "just breaking up" tones

Boston OD series : good pedal when you're on a budget

since I am quite partial to MI audio, I like what I hear from the blues pro. like it more than their blues boy

maxon OD9- the makers of the original ibaneZ tubescreamers
if you wanna go really boutique and are willing to wait, the klon centaur is cool too

what have you tried so far?, even a Boss DS1 can do the job IMO (with propper tweaking on the knobs of course)

A blues pedal is the pedal you play blues on :D .

Parang " what is a blues guitar? " A blues guitar is a guitar you play blues on.

Sounds like a smart aleck crack ano ? But that's the truth in it. You can even use a Metal Zone to play the blues. Ye you can !

two words: "due diligence"

definition: that ordinary diligence exercised by a good father of a family in conducting his affairs.

hehehehe.

anyway, u might try out the "screaming blues" pedal of digitech. or if u just need a booster, try out the "bad monkey" pedal, still digitech.

Maybe you can start out WITHOUT a pedal to play the blues.  This way you can listen to the blues within then, soon enough, you'd be able to hear what you WANT.  :-)

If this sounds really vague, it's the ampalaya salad I just ate.  :-D

naku. hindi naman ata defined ang blues tone. kumbaga,no such thing. it can go from grungy acoustic to straight clean to slight od to muddy les paul to painful tele. alang pre-defined tone ang blues.

I'd go with a Crowther Hotcake. :-P

Kaso, sa totoo lang, any OD will do.

my Peavey amp ENVOY110 (with the correct settings) plus my DOD pedal or even the amp alone itself sounds good for blues..
