+ taxi fare pa.  i don't know my way around Kowloon.  i think i'll be using up at least Php3k just by going back and forth between Macau and HK..

Well if you don't have a tight budget then i guess its worth the trip..and if you happen to be there during the sale period then its even better.

is late november/early december their sale period?

last time i went there was May of last year, and it wasn't sale...and if the main branch is on sale, then i guess the Macau branch may follow suit.

That's actually one problem, even my friend had a hard time getting infos from the store salesmen cause it seems, they try to ignore you if you don't speak their language. Tom lee sales are indeed remarkable, perhaps my chinese friends could help us out with the schedules, will be posting updates here once i get the infos..

thanks man!  a new axe is not (yet?) a priority now since i just got a new one.  i'm hoping they have a good assortment of amps and pedals plus reasonable prices...but we'll never know.

I suggest you take the ferry to Hong Kong (Kowloon) and visit the Tom Lee branch at Cameron Lane instead. The stocks in the Macau branch are mediocre compared to the ones in Cameron Lane.

thanks Poundcake!

hopefully i can convince my dad to let me go just for a day (and bring him along for some credit card support...hehehe!).  i'm just hoping that some specific items can be found in the Macau branch...i guess if i'm not satisfied with the stocks there, then i can go to Cameron Lane.  :-)

i heard that ferry fare cost around HK$140 one way if you go in the morning.  it gets more expensive in the evening.
