i'm trying to download a file from dowloads.com (avg anti virus free edition) and whenever i click on the link, firefox just shuts down. i think i've read a problem like this in these forums but can't seem to find the thread. so if any of you knows the solution to this, kindly post. thanks a lot

may virus na ba pc mo?hindi ko alam kung tama to. pero nung nangyari sakin yan may virus na pc ko di matangal nung gamit na na anti virus ko dati..pag mag dodownload ako lalo na pag anti virus nag sasarado talaga siya..  ewan ko kung gawa ng virus yun kaya nag cclose yung fire fox.

hmmmm... try mo disable yung blocking of popups for firefox or kung may firewall ka disable mo lang din temporarily yung popups so you'll see kung lumalabas yung page kung ayaw... try mo pumunta sa safemode with network connections tapos try mo dl from there...

mas siguradong patay ang virus pag reforemat at reinstall os... hehe! kung ayaw mo ng virus mag linux ka nalang... i suggest fedora or ubuntu...  :-)

virus cguro ser.

kya lng pano mo ma-scan ang pc mo eh bago ka pa nga lang nagda-download ng AVG anti-virus. :-D

try mo muna reinstall FIREFOX mo ( latest ver)

pag andun pa rin, back-up mo n lht ng important files mo

reformat, fdisk , reinstall mo n lhat para clean start :-)

mukhang virus nga. noong na brontok ako, ganyan din kahit galing sa cd ang installer ng antivirus. reformat lang talaga ata ang katapat

mahina kasi talaga mag tanggal ng virus ung AVG actually pang 5 up sya sa listahan ng mga magandang antivirus :-D

kung gusto mo add mo po ako sa ym then pasahan kita ng anti virus.. kaspersky 7 po gamit ko.... ok din naman po sya....  :-D

na try ko na rin to.. pag nagsusurf ako or nagdadownload sa internet eh biglang magcoclose yung browser. tapos mejo matagal magrespond ang system. naka disable din ang task manager, pati yung folder options sa windows explorer eh naka invisible. ayaw din mag open ng regedit tsaka command prompt...

lahat ng symptoms na yan eh.. virus/trojan ang dahilan.

ang remedy.. punta ka sa malapit na internetan tapos download mo yung regrun reanimator.. igoogle mo na lang.  tapos save mo sa portable thumbdrive mo.. tapos ayun extract tsaka run mo sa PC mo. dasal ka na lang na sana gumana.  :-)
