Noob question about tempo...
« on: March 28, 2008, 11:08:18 PM »
Tama naman yung tempo nya for the most part.

In the same sense, paano maii-stretch or synchronize yung guitar tracks sa recorded na synth drum track?  Kapag binago ko yung tempo from my DAW, nagbabago din yung tempo ng drums but not the guitar.

I use Tracktion 2 and Mackie Onyx Satellite.  Thanks...

I have no backgroud with Tracktion pero in Cubase mayroong way kung pano mo magagawa yun.

you time stretch only small portions, e.g., the offending bar or bars - and using the proper algorithm (found in commercial programs like sound forge), this will not produce noticeable distortion. You'll have distortion if you timestretch large portions or a whole track. This is specially effective for drums. Varying degrees of effectivity for other instruments

If you don't want to time stretch, you can also just replace the bar/ section with a copy of a better-played section.  Again, using a good wav editor

yeeees! copy paste! haha. tama.
and tama din, try mo nga mag time-stretch. sorry kung misleading ung last post ko, kasi nagtime stretch ako dati ng isang buong track eh. kaya siguro nagkaroon ng distortion.

Thanks for your replies, guys.  I completely agree with you that it should be laid down on the track as perfect as can be, but sometimes we do get hard headed bandmates who don't want to listen to the click track and re-recording isn't really possible at times.

I've seen the time stretch option sa Tracktion pero hindi ko pa natignan sa manual kung paano.  Thanks again!   :-D
