Buhayin ko lang ang thread na ito.
They're one of my influences! Aside from Incognito!
And just like Boss Jim, my fave album is "Shelter" and i can definitely say Siedah Garret is a truly good replacement of N'dea. Brother Sister is also good.
TRIVIA: The King of Pop Michael Jackson's hit "I just can't stop Loving you" was with Siedah Garret
I loved all their albums til 2003's "we won't stop". I liked how they fused Acid Jazz with Funk ala James Brown. Lately their sound kinda lean towards dance, which is quite a turn-off.
But who knows, maybe with N'dea Davenport back in tow, baka bumalik ang original groove and intensity ng Heavies, which i still believe and hope will happen
Acid jazz fans better batter up
I always remembered Parliament Syndicate covering "Never Stop"
and actually does a good job!
