Help! Getting a new PC and Laptop

Ei guys, patulong naman. Bibili na kasi kami ng bagong PC after some 5-6 years and I'm hoping to get a reasonably decked-out model which can stand the test of time for some 5-6 years as well. Yun bang parang gold standard ngayon. As for the price, yung reasonable naman. No gold-plated PCS or anything 

Eto yung criteria ko. Paalala lang po na hindi ako gaanong 'tech-savvy' kaya kung medyo bano ang dating ko, sorry na lang po

- Fast (especially with graphics and Internet) and easy to upgrade.
- Must have a CD and DVD burner
- A lot of memory (Yun ba yung GB?)
- Good Internet options (Wi-Fi, Blueray, Wireless, lahat.....)

Also, I'd like you guys to look at some specs we were given and tell me what you think of the offer:

As for the laptop, I'm looking for something OTHER than a MacBook, preferably an HP model. I'm not sure where to start but as with the PC, I'm looking for a reasonably well-equipped model with good compatibility.

mahal yung 31.5k mo bro tapos dual core lang, galing ako ng gilmore 2 weeks ago dun ako namili, Intel Core 2 Duo processor , mobo(Asus P5KPL-VM), 2 gig RAM , 160 gig HDD SATA, video card(ATi), dvd-R +RW, casing, mouse & kb, with 22" LCD monitor..... total P28,700 (sa bahay ko na inasemble).  tama din si obelix dapat klaro kung saan mo gagamitin bago ka mag lagay ng specs, are you in gaming? home recording? or pang email lang o chat..

hmmm mahal yung presyo for the specs na binigay sa iyo... ang binabayaran mong malaki jan is the brand which is Acer... anyway...

the post above is maganda yung specs na nakuha niya for the price... well since sabi mo pang graphics... copy mo yung specs niya sa taas pero here's some additions...

- 4 gig ram
- 350 gig hard drive
- lightscribe dvd/cd burner
- a 22" samsung lcd monitor is awesome btw...

as for the video card ikaw na bahala i recommend atleast 7600 nvidia card for decent performance but if you want to play games get atleast an 8600 nvidia vid card.

invest in a good mouse and keyboard i recommend Logitech Desktop Wave keyboard and mouse combo.

if you're serious with your graphics work i suggest get a wacom intous3 6x8 tablet... but if you're a beginner and unsure about taking your graphics work seriously get a Wacom Bamboo Fun (Medium)... you'll enjoy more of your graphics work with a tablet.

btw post mo talga kung saan mo gagamitin specifically yung pc mo kasi baka masayang lang pera mo pag nag bigay kami ng specs sa iyo pero hindi mo naman pala ma-mamaximize ang pag gamit ng pc mo... let's revise the specs pag post mo kung saan mo gagamitin pc mo...

nga pala...make sure that youre getting a Class S(Samsung) lcd panel kung ang bibilin mo ay yung 226bw na model may iba iba kasi classifications ng lcd panels ang 22 inches samsung lcds dahil nagkaron daw ng shortage ng lcd panels ang samsung noon kaya napilitan silang umorder ng panels sa ibang manufacturers...

mine is a Class C(Chimei) panel...ampangit, bluish yung sides...kung di ko pa ginamitan ng calibrator hindi maayos yung kulay...

Hey guys, sorry, napabayaan ko na itong topic ko na ito....

Anyways, uunahin na daw muna namin yung laptop.

For my purposes, since I'm going to be the one who's going to use it the most, I want a great, powerful and fast all-arounder type laptop. I spend most of my time on the Internet so a big chunky hard-drive for all my music and backing tracks would be great and I'd like it to be nice and fast. I'd prefer it would have a good amount of RAM, maybe 2 GB. A good graphics card would also be good, but not necessary since I do most of my gaming in my console.

Bottom line pa rin, I want a really, really good laptop that will last for a good while without updating the hardware and software. Someone said to me that a top-of-the-line laptop has an average lifespan of about 6 years, until it becomes obsolete.
