Julian Percy

Any of you guys know Julian Percy?

He was our drummer when our band was still called Gladys and the Boxers w/k (with Gladys Guevarra and K Brosas).  He is an australian who married a filipina. He stayed in the country for about a year and was our drummer during that time. Also teached in yamaha dasmarinias and other branches.

He is a student of Virgil Donati and does clinics for pearl in the asia pacific region. Been into several bands around asia. Enjoys fusion and progressive rock. Still insists on integrating fusion with hard rock.

I believe he met bagets (benjie of so border) and he was impressed by the australian guy. They talked about drummers whos names I never heard of.

Check his videos. Great control on double bass drum pedal.

Did anybody "capitalize" on his talent while he was here? (aside from the Boxers, that is) He sorta "endorsed" Pearl... nagclinic ba siya for Yupangco dati?

I dont think he did a clinic here sa pinas. Even tho he teached at yamaha in dasma coz he lives a stone throw near tagaytay. I recall he did clinics in singapore, indonesia and australia. I think he's not with pearl now judging from the intros on his latest videos.

Still has that blank stare before he speaks to you. hehehehe.
