rock wall or rock WOOL? if it is a rock wall, ie, something with a similar density to rock or concrete, it wouldn't be good because you would have to deal with bad reflections inside the room. pick a material which has good sound absorption properties instead like insulation inside a chambered wooden wall or maybe rock wool or corning insulation in suspended gobos.
