Their songs and lyrics are really great as well as RATM's music and lyrics. But it doesnt mean dicta license is trying to be like RATM as well.
Bogie's strat has always been his guitar since highschool and has a great sentimental value for him. That's why he's been using it always in every gig the band plays. I thinks bands you mentioned like typecast and AMS are posers and wanna bes. Filipino artists knows how to rap(english or filipino language) well regardless if RATM, Limp Bizkit, or a 311 band was around. Upcoming bands that sounds like emo are singing there guts out just to sound like an emo band. I doesn't come natural to these people just the accent alone when an emo vocalist starts to sing. Can they sing emo in the filipino language? FIlipino rappers are great putting up their own set of lyrics and singing it in our own language.
"I tend to punish my gear so I like the angry Z Customs, while the classic A compliments the destruction."
