NIKON D60

Actually D60 din ang pinagiipunan ko ngayon. Sa Hidalgo P24-26k nalang ang D60. 

Sana may magpost din ng reviews.

Is Nikon D60 really a good buy over other Nikon models?

Someone advised me to go for D40 instead because this model, allegedly, had some issues on lense compatibility with other Nikon cameras...

Any comment on this? Is this true? It might help the TS...

here's my take on nikon d60

bought mine sa henry's hidalgo 30k kit last feb 2008, pero ngayon malaki na ang binaba

positive
-Electronic 'rangefinder' for manual focus
-sharp kitlens, vr na so iwas vibration
-Image sensor cleaning system with Airflow control system
-user friendly handy

negative
-doesn't have an built-in focus drive motor which means it can auto focus only with lenses which have their own drive motor (AF-S and AF-I lenses)
-tried using a third party lense like tamron 17-55 2.8 may front focus sya
natry ko sa tatlong magkaibang d60 pero  nungtinrynamin sa d80 and d300 the tamron lense works fine walang front focus.

sa lens , nikkor 50mm 1.8 or 1.4 although di sya mag auto focus sa d60, but u can use the rangefinder pra mas madali pag manual focus. maganda din nikkor 17-55 2.8 though medyo pricey ok both lense pang low-light ayos sa mga gigs  pero depende pa din sa matripan mong field

I own one. Ang di ko lang gusto ay lens compatibility issue just like sir Mandoytz' comment. Di ako pwede gumamit ng ibang lens na hindi AF-S or AF-I. Visit kenrockwell.com for a very good advice.

sir do you mean na hindi magagamit ang auto-focus kapag hindi AF-S or AF-I lens, or hindi lang talaga pwede gamitin yung hindi AF-S or AF-I? AFAIK pwede pa rin gumamit ng hindi AF-S or AF-I as long as dx format lens ang gamit.

Oh I'm sorry, my bad, di clear yung nasabi ko. I mean hindi sya mag auto-focus pag hindi AF-S at AF-I lens ang gamit.. The rest, magagamit pa din but on manual focusing lang..

got my new d60, pinag aaralan ko pa.. medyo naguguluhan lang sa settings
