oh, i just remembered: typecast and urbandub! they're alright. try typecast's another minute until ten and urbandub's soul searching. the first one's more emo and the second one has some indie-ish sound to it.

I saw Sub-Culture perform on last year's NU Rock Awards, and i think you'd like their music. They performed a number [ forgive an old man, I haven't the slightest idea what title] with ethnic/acoustic intsruments and I enjoyed everysound they made.

I don't have much idea about whereabouts of this group but i'm sure you Indie carvings will find something about them.

well, yeah, typecast are overrated but that song i recommended, another minute until ten, isn't. it's f*cking class, man. it get's a bit repetitive after the second chorus though... it's as if they ran out of ideas and decided to just repeat everything... just with no singing this time around. :?

EDIT: lol, "repetit*ve" is censored here? AHAHAHA! anyway, yeah, that censored word up there is "repetit*ve".

you might want to check up these artists:

- soft pillow kisses (indiepop)
- candyaudioline (indie-noise-pop)
- daydream cycle (electronica/dreampop)
- popular days (shoegaze/indiepop)

actually the best way to experience the indie scene is to go see them when they perform. not all indie acts go the album route AFAIK. most simmer under the lid via constant gigs and singles.

for indie bands, releasing an album nowadays is like selling diet pills in Somalia, with all the pre-processed "pogi-rock" floating in the ether.
