help! woofer, sub woofer or instrumental speakers

Sirs,

Kinda confused now.
Before, way back the 80's i used to assemble speakers
and i am using woofer, mid range & horn tweeter.

Now i feel like doin it again so nagpunta ako sa pinaka popular
na lugar para sa mga ganitong items. RAON.

Salesperons (but i think not technical persons) showed me
and even explained to me that it's better to use Instrumental speakers
for the Bass purposes and the horn tweeter. 2 way in short.

i even noticed sa lahat ng Bass speakers nila like the W Box, sub scope,
earthquake etc... Instrumental speakers ang nakakabit.

Sirs, san na ginagamit ngayon yun woofer and sub woofer?
Btw, we have a place for rent kasi for functions/parties and instead of renting,
i'd rather provide our own sound system.

Pls sir, help me naman about this. Speakers will be used for the said purposes.

buying branded speakers is not yet in my plan but soon pag may mas
malaking budget na.
For the mean time, assembled speaker enclosures but very well done bili sa Raon ng 18" or 15" speakers but i dont know if Woofer, Sub woofer or Instrumental speakers.

Sana may makatulong mga sir para hindi masayang pera.
Needed na kasi speakers and kung maghintay makaipon for
the branded speakers, matatagalan pa.

What's your application ? If you're building a bass amp, yes instrumental speakers are the correct choice. They are built more ruggedly than ordinary speakers. Im not a bassist myself, but my Fender Bassman 60 has an instrument speaker then a tweeter. so it's 2-way.

This assumes that you won't use distortion devices on your bass amp. In which case, it's a bad idea to put a tweeter on because it will blow out rather quickly.

Gagamitin ko po not for instruments.
Pang sound system for events like Wedding, Children's party or
even 18th Bday that will be held sa place name.pang P.A.
Kahit pang mobile purposes for the 8th bday.

 Bumili ka na lang ng buo . be certain lang beforehand what size of venue you need to serve because it will determine how big a speakker set you need to purchase.

It would be very easy for others ( like me ) to solve your problem if you also could POST the dimensions of the function hall... Capacity? ilang persons? kasama kasi lahat nyan sa estimating....pero about your question, 2-way na speakers ( instrumental and a tweeter ) will be fine...Crown Instrumental Speakers are good. if you have an AMP but not that POWERFUL, you can have a distributed speaker system para di kawawa amp mo...match impedances also...

Thanks for the reply sir. I already have the Crown 15" Instrumental spkrs (450watts)
and 300 watts crown driver horn tweeter.

Sa Dividing Network naman sir, meron ang crown Bass & High, Mid & High.
What Should I buy. If i buy the Mid - High, May maririnig din ba ko kahit konting
bass sa 15" inst speakers like dun sa ginagamit pang PA using tripod stand. I can hear bass, mid and high but the bass is ofcourse hindi ganung kalakas but still meron. or i will get the bass-high dividing network? o meron kayang ibang brand na dividing network na maganda, yun full range ang labas.

btw sir, i already have the power amp. 200watts/ch @ 8ohms - 400watts/ch @ 4ohms.
