HELP! how to recover Folders on USB flash drive..

After deleting  trojan virus from my usb flash drive all my folders were gone, though the only one gone are the folders that have files on it and files that are not in a folder are still in there. Also, the mb size of my USB flash didn't change, so, I think it is just hidden on my USB flash drive. But I already tried to view hidden files but the folders still did not come out.

I just copy files from my usb and save it to the infected laptop, and I didn't save anything from the laptop.

your antivirus either quarantined or deleted the infected files(to avoid further damage on your storage media or your computer)

sorry to say but i dont think there is a way for you to recover those deleted files. you might wanna try checking your antivirus' quarantined files folder and see if they are there.

and OT: do NOT call it usb. its thumbdrive/flashdrive/usb drive. USB is the port of your computer/laptop. USB drive is the storage media that you plug into your USB port for extra storage or mobile data storage.

I already tried getbackdata recovery software and it showed the lost file in my USB flash drive. The only problem is, you need to buy the software first before you can copy the files.. :-( Though I am now much relief knowing that the files can still be recover..

bro nandun pa rin yung files sa flash disk mo pero naka-HIDDEN?

try mo to:

access mo yung flash disk mo

then sa menu bar sa taas click TOOLS then > FOLDER option > click on VIEW tab > then under  HIDDEN FILES AND FOLDERS > click SHOW HIDDEN FILES AND FOLDERS > click APPLY the OK...

try mo yan then pag nagappear na yung mga folders mo sa flash disk...

select all using CTRL+A then properties then i i-uncheck mo yung HIDDEN...

sir vinz, akin nman po kahit i-view hidden files ko na,after 1 second bumbalik sa pagkaka click yung do not show hidden file. natry ko na po guammit ng Remove Restriction Tool (RRT) ayaw pa din maview yung hidden files then may ibang folders din ako na hndi naman hidden file before mapasukan ng trojan naging permanent hidden file na siya. ano po ba ang dapat kong gawin? thanks...

Ok na yung USB flash drive ko mga sir,, pinaayos ko na lang sa computer shop, nag bayad lang ako nang 50..  :wink:

I also tried downloading it on torrent, pero hindi nag loload yung file, static lang siya.. or maybe hindi pa ako masyadong bihasa sa pag gamit nang torrent kaya ganun.  :lol: Thnx

medyo weird yan ah maybe it has problems lalo na sa os mo? usually ang dumadale sa Flashdisk eh yung FLASHY.EXE gagawin niyang hidden yung folders mo...yaan mo pag nakakuha ako ng sagot diyan sa problema mo pm ko sayo :lol:

worm yan,,gamit ka worm blaster,,,google mo nalang,,then try mo kung kaya na ma show mga hidden files..
