i don't know if there's an existing thread for this. mods, kindly merge if meron na.



so, i'm having a really hard time with my cold the past couple of days. i've been taking those decongestants, and nothing seems to work. afaik, they have similar contents.

bioflu - phenylephrine, chlorphenamine, paracetamol
decolsin - dextromethorphan, phenylpropanolamine, paracetamol
nasathera - phenylpropanolamine, chlorphenamine, paracetamol


bioflu doesn't seem to work for me. i only took nasathera once 2 days ago, and i don't think it worked because i never thought of buying it. chose to buy bioflu instead. bioflu doesn't seem to work either. i just took decolsin and i hope it works this time, although i don't need the dextromethorphan since i don't have a cough.



are there other combinations? or any other meds available for colds? i don't wanna play doctor just yet.

naku mahirap talaga yung mga sipon na ganyan. just drink lots of water po, eat well, and then have lots of rest. essentially kasi a cold is an infection. yung mga gamot na tulad ng bioflu para mo lang tinapalan ng scotch tape yung gripong sira (sort of parang ganun). you have to treat the infection. i wouldnt advise taking just any over the counter antibiotic though. kasi hindi natin alam viral infection pala ang colds mo. in that case, hindi tatalab ang antibiotic. again..water, healthy foods, and rest.

Sinabi sakin ng biology teacher ko noon na sa tulog daw gagaling ang colds. So go ahead and rest a lot.

i have been in house arrest for about 3 days now. sadly, that's not enough. although di ako natutulog pag andito ako. it's either i'm watching a movie or playing games.

tama, rest lang yan .. o kaya mas better kung mag pa check up ka sa doctor if umabot na ng week/weeks  :wink:

nadagdagan ng dry cough ang cold ko. grabe, ang sakit talaga pag umubo. sobrang dry at kati ng lalamunan.


just took butamirate. if that doesn't work, maybe dextromethorphan would.

mag 1 week na kong may sakit bukas. kung di pa to mawawala, punta na ko sa doctor.
