help with OCtobans.

hello guys, i was wondering kung woth it ba gumawa ng octobans, kasi i'm planning to build one of these days. actually fiberglass or acryliac ang material na napili ko kasi eto yung pinaka available dito satin. Baka may maa-advise po kayo.

eto yung mga issues ko ngayon:
6 holes lang ang available na rims sa Lazer
walang available na 6" heads sa jb. Lazer lang ang meron.

baka may maisa-suggest kayo kung saan pwede bumili ng ibang spare parts bukod sa U.S. hehe.

had the same idea as well.. as it turned out, mas mura pang bumili ako sa audiophile ng TAMA octobans or via online purchase.. shells would cost you roughly 20K, dagdag mo pa hardware, skins, mount etc.. not to mention kung ok ba ang tunog due to the thickness of the shell or the material itself..

- try mo ung decabons ng ddrum,, mas mura xia around 12-14K with shipping na.. good luck!

lahat ng hardware for octobans meron sa lazer pati yung old style slide tom mounts

shells, try mo dun sa sinabi ko na eurovek sa j.victor st na malapit sa makati cinema square. hanapin mo sa yellow pages muna yung phone number nila. tanong mo kung meron silang 6" OUTER diameter na pvc. mahalagang banggitin yung outer diameter kasi kapag usapang pvc, palaging inner diameter ang sukatan kaya baka oversized yung maibigay sa yo.

basta bilin mo na lahat ng hardware, sa festival muntinlupa merong 4 holes na 6" hoops pati heads. meron din dun nung tom mount sliding or pwede rin yung regular floor tom leg mount.

mahal na siguro sa 5k tong project mo pero wala pang stands.

uu nga sir pao eh. manggagaling pa daw sa australia yung pvc. pero gumagawa pa ko ibang paraan. hehe. si sir wax, kaya daw gumawa eh. kaso mahal eh. nagcanvass naman ako fiberglass, 8k aabutin for 4 low pitch shells. pwede na kaso hanap hanap pa din ako.; hehe

meron pa kong nakausap na supplier sa may c. raymundo, pasig. try mo rin hanapin, acrylic din at poly? something din yung pangalan. nakalimutan ko na yung name e at di ko na makita rin yung old notes ko. 7k yung 6" acrylic pero nakalimutan ko kung gano kahaba.
