Suggestions naman mga pre..

i've been asked to think of two songs to play with a band during the upcoming pinoy independence day celebrations..

now i've been asked to do this every year since 2001 and i'm running out of good songs.. well i know madami.. so i dont know where to start..

so take these ones out of the equation:
-no touch
-himig natin
-pretty much any e-heads/rivermaya song
-salamat

something na bagay sa event.. na very pinoy.. no new stuff.. :D

hmmm do you remember the song that goes like, "tayo'y mga Pinoy, tayo'y hindi kano, wag kang mahihiya kung ang ilong mo ay pango?" parang mali yata yung lyrics a, basta yung song na yun. ang alam ko medyo traditional yung arrangement ng original nun diba? you might want to make it sound more contemporary, tipong add a rap section, straight singing section, etc. to show diversity (pwede mag-symbolize na diverse na rin ang mga Pinoy). isip pa ko ng isa pang song. i hope this helps man :)

the song by after image with the refrain that goes "isang araw isang kulay... ipagbigkis mga kamay sa pagtawid nitong tulay" or something like that.  parang bagay sa okasyon.

also, "balong malalim" or "beep beep" (yan ba yung title?  the one that goes "beep beep beep beep sabi ng tsuper ng jeep") of juan dela cruz.

oh and another one.  have you heard the song "batang maynila"?  i think it's by cocojam.

reklamo ng reklamo - the jerks (eto pang independence day talaga, blues pa!)
sayaw sa bubog - the jerks din (tungkol sa social change)
check mo yung buong album ng the jerks, puro may social at political relevance.
check nyo rin yung mga kanta nila noel kabangon nung nasa buklod pa sya. ayos din.
rock en roll sa mundo at beep beep - JDLC
wag na yung noypi, nakakabingi na.
