John "JR" Robinson joins DW....

Saw it at his website a while ago (http://www.johnjrrobinson.com/) lumipat na pala siya from Yamaha to DW. Hopefully there would be a blow out deal sa Yamaha JR snare sa tate!  :-D

Well i doubt it's a money issue. He's too good to have integrity issue.

Well in my thoughts eto.

1. Support. Maybe he's not getting any from Yammie. Always remember that some drummers switch because their company can't support them while on the tour. So that's why you see artist using different brands often.

2. Good offers. Remember that Yammie and DWs are two great brands. Pwedeng mas maganda offer sa kanya like Custom everything with his name on it and support all the way. Well if I'm endorsing Gretsch, then Pearl/TAMA asked to to join them with added benefits. I might switch. "Might". Hehehe

3. He wants something new. Well tao ren sha. Maybe he come to a point na try naman american drum. Ms accesible ang DW kasi Cali ang factory nila.



2nd reason why i doubt that it's a money issue.....
Bakit nag AXIS sha?? Kung pera pera lang edi sana pati peds dinamay na ng DW,,,

pwede..

parang yung kay erskine. sabi nya gusto daw nya ng flat stands sa hardware.. nung sinabi nya sa yamaha, hindi raw pinansin/pinagbigyan. isa daw yun sa mga dahilan bakit sya lumipat sa dw.

There's also an issue about one A&R man from Yamaha leaving the company. Mukhang magkakaroon din ng exodus ng artists.

Crucial yung mga taong ganyan kasi Yamaha is Japan based company so they need a Guy in America to best represent them.

Alex Acuna, Peter Erkine, and now JR Robinson...=-(

Mag wawala talaga ako pag sumunod si Steve Gadd. But will be happier if he switches to Gretsch. AW!!! Hehehehe

JR was for the longest time a Pearl endorser...what happened?  Baka hindi na masyadong naaalagaan ang mga datihang endorsers.
