help! about sa recording thru pc!

i have sonar and guitar track installed in my pc.

pag nagrerecord ako ng licks thru pc using sonar and guitar track eh "1 sec delay" ang dating nya.
kaya pag may sinasabayan akong audio eh late na ang dating ng sound ng guitar ko.

it is possible na sa pc or soundcard ang problem? pagnagrerecord din ba kayo using this software eh nakaka encounter din b kayo ng ganitong delay problem?

at kung may ma irerecomend pa kayong ibang recording software ung hindi masyado hassle except sonar at guitar track eh mas maganda. ung user frndly sana.

What soundcard are you using? Are you using ASIO or WDM drivers? Usually ASIO ang maganda. Buffer setting is also a big factor. When recording, lower buffer settings result in lower latency (kung kaya ng computer and soundcard mo).

sir paano ko po malalaman kung ASIO or WDM ang gamit ko? built in kasi sa motherboard ung soundcard at sa "line in" ko sinasaksak ung cable jack ng guitar ko.

Usually pag onboard soundcard lang, may delay talaga. For now, your solution would be "ASIO4ALL". Google mo lang and download it (for free), then install it sa pc mo. Pag onboard soundcard usually WDM ang drivers e.

Puntahan mo audio settings sa Sonar (Options > Audio > Advanced, then select Asio as driver mode). Also go to the General Tab (Options > Audio > General) and select your playback and record timing master.

Of course, the best way is to get a usb or firewire audio interface. Mas safe ang pc mo. Pag onboard soundcard lang kasi minsan nakakasunog ng chips ang line in recording (lalo na pag instruments ang nirerecord mo).

maraming maraming salamat sir.
ginawa ko ung payo mo sir, kaso nung pinili ko na ung ASIO as a driver eh nagblanko na yung playback record timing master. sir may iba pa po bang solustion? or maybe na kailangan na bumili na lang ako ng soundcard na may ASIO?

pagkakaalam ko kasi mahal ung mga usb or firewire audio interface.

Maraming mura naman bro. Try Line6 audio interfaces. May nagbebenta sa Classifieds 4,900 lang ata. Marami pa dun mas mura. Kung brand new, sa Perfect Pitch ang Line6 products. Try mo din M-Audio interfaces sa JB. Behringer meron din. But I think guitarist ka so mas maganda Line6 interfaces kasi may PODFarm effects na. Kahit ala kang effects pedals etc, nandun na sa PODFarm.

Regarding your problem, try to look into the asio4all settings kung functioning. May mga steps sa link na pinag-dowloadan mo ng asio4all (that I can't recall).

I encourage you to buy an audio interface na lang para safe ang pc mo for recording. The quality is even better vs. onboard soundcards.

sir last question, ang "ASIO4ALL" ba ay compatible sa onboard soundcard? or kaiangan talga na bumili ako ng seperate na soundcard?

Medyo ganun talaga pag nagbaba ka ng buffer rate settings if you are using the onboard soundcard...

tawag ka sa number sa baba of youre looking for an audio interface... hehehe!

sa bagay sir kung konting tracks lang naman ok na yung audacity medyo mataas kasi requirements ng sonar tama si sir blood shed if you want to use sonar go get an audio interface
