yeap kudeta89 hehe you got me there thank you sir for the infos..planning to change for my es339 ..i like the stock gibson classic 57's pup in the bridge, but the neck sounds a bit muddy. really love the bridge pup though.
Your es339 is truly a beauty. Same here bluesboyjuly, I really like a twangy, open-sounding neck pup so I understand your search for new ones. I was fortunate to try MarkV's ibanez which was equipped with the humbucker from hell on the neck and to my surprise it sounded very single-coil. It was open and dynamic. You can give that a try or maybe you could PM Mark for more personal experience on the pups. Goodluck with your hunt sir
so a markv's shreadhead? whats this got to do with humbucker pickup voiced like a single coil?
anyone here to suggest me a humbucking pickup that sounds much like a single coil, p-90's are good but they have different sizes.im in to bluesy texas tone such as SRV, clapton, Andy timmons, Any suggestions? i heard unwounding pickups helps.if this is true where can i get this done? ..im familiar with dimarzio cruiser single pickups, they do sound much like a humbucker..i need the opposite.. humbucker voiced like a single coil? planning to fit in the neck position
