dd3 question for delay
« on: March 19, 2010, 11:48:47 PM »
 :?

nung meron pa akong dd3 i usually live it on always,ang pangit ng tunog kapag naka off. Yung settings is 9 o clock sa first two knobs then depende na yung 2 knobs sa tempo ng kanta. IIRC

The settings will depend on the tempo of the song and 'fcourse, your style. You don't necessarily need to turn off the delay while playing rhythm 'cause it all depends on your taste and preferences. Turn the knobs. Experiment. Have fun. :-)

Try this setting with an overdrive/distortion on.

E.Level = 1 o'clock
F.Back = 11 o'clock
D.Time = 7 o'clock
Mode = 800ms

...then start playing leads and solos.
Play   Guitar   To  Express..   Not   To   Impress.

380-400ms, 2-3 repeats.. mix, around 10 o'clock.

Wala na kong DD-3, so I can't help you with the knob positions. Tanchahin mo na lang.  :wink:

Generally, ang delay setting na pwede for lead, rhythm, silent passages, etc.. yung sapat lang yung delay time, repeats, at volume para 'kumapal' yung tunog mo, pero hindi gumulo. Kasi yung iba, pag nagset ng delay, nasasapawan na yung other notes nila - tuloy tunog off-tempo.

Yung setting na binigay ko sa taas, yun ang pinaka-common kong makitang delay setting for most guitarists.

For lead, try using the dotted 8th note delay.

mahirap makuha dotted 8th using DD-3 for every song na iba-iba tempo.

@topic experiment lang bro, baka yung manipis sa tenga mo eh makapal na masyado sa iba.
** read Red_Strat's post above

Dotted 8th din ako lagi, using boston dd100.  Lower ko lang ng kaunti yung level knob using my foot. (sorry for OT hehehe)
God Bless!
