If you're serious about recording, the M-audio cards are usually the ones we recommend. You can still record with the 'blasters; just don't expect much if you want high fidelity.

I started out with 'blasters. Moving up to better sounding cards meant hearing details that were not audible with the blasters.
Sonar 4.04PE/5.2PE/7.02PE/8.31 PE, Project 5 v2.5.1, EmulatorX 1.5, Cubase SL2, Ableton Live 7.14,  Intel Q6600 MSI P43 Neo 4Gb Crucial Ballistix Tracer DDR2-800, Emu 1820m, Yamaha DSP Factory, Terratec DMX 6fire

at least go for the 5.1 VX because of its 24bit / 96khz WDM driver. or try to find a second hand SB audigy 2 zs because of asio/kx driver support. but generally ang mga entry level cards are m audio and emu cards.
but dont use on board audio. hanggang games and mp3 lang talaga sila. syempre dvd rin kung 5.1 sila.

tingin ka rin dun sa pro audio classifieds minsan meron dun mga second hand gear. syempre get the details first and check on the seller too.

ei i have creative soundblaster pci card which i've tried to record only the mic input and output of it. almost 49 ms delay. it really sucks because what youve played actual in that tempo will not be played in that tempo.try lang nman sakin kase i have 3 soundcards but my main is my toneport ux8 which i'm really happy having it.and also 410 and ux2.btw. better, get atleast 2496 mga nsa 3-4k lng benthan dko pa ntest kc firewire and usb user ako pero good for starting your serious recording narin yun.

2496 is lightyears away from the onboard stuff.
-virtually no latency
-very clear and detailed sound capture
plus preamp na lang ok na... :-D
- Joyo AC tone demo

if you're not spending for monitors, the blaster will suit most hobbyists fine.  just get preamps for your mics and you'll be set.

salamat sa mga reply mga pare!

yung goal ko rin naman dito is of course to get better sound... di ko talaga trip yung tunog ng narerecord ko through the onboard audio.
naisip ko kase baka yung creative na soundblaster is for PC's with no onboard audio, old school baga.

mag tatanong na lang ako sa paligid if theres a VX 2496 version of this.

im looking for a Behringer UCA202 for i have not the budget for E-MUs

i am using a DIY preamp for the mic's parang low gain impedance buffer lang.
