nice. but why the need to get it from warmoth? i think most of the reputable local luthiers have the material to cut one themselves.

here's a thought. if you can afford the brass, buy it. then compare them. then tell us all about it. at the very least it wouldn't hurt to have a spare.  :wink:

well didto sa amin walang reputable luthiers.. and i have a friend na pa uwi rin na galing New Jersey so yun!

so any other players tried a brass nut?

Sorry sa noob question, Meron po bang effect ang density ng nut sa sound ng guitar? Kung meron, bakit hindi na lang po solid na bato ang gamitin?

Hey guys, My orig. '50s or '57 stratocaster nut is broken to two pieces... I tried to glue it but it did't work... Where can I get a pre-shaped and ready to use na Fender '50s RI guitar nut? Medyo mas ma-radius kasi tung 50s eh.

sir al, ok yung warmoth, pero medyo mahal compared sa ibang nagbebenta ng custom parts for gutars.
yung nut, ok lang na bumili dahil madalas ay pre-shaped na, pero yung saddle sa bridge, blanko talaga. so usually kailangan mo pang i-file yung sa 2nd or 3rd string for correct intonation. or use this,

kung gusto mo, eto nalang ang gawin mong saddle tutal brass naman sya eh. hehe.. :D

yung tungkol sa brass nut/saddle, totoong medyo mahal. may mga resonators na brass ang ginagamit eh, though hindi pa ako nakakahawak ng gitara na may nut or saddle na brass. i'm thinking of buying vintage brass saddles for my tele though. :D
