I need your tips on gears that I should use
« on: May 24, 2010, 08:27:53 PM »
Mga master gusto ko na palitan ang gear ko and I need your guidance :-D
Pero gusto kong pedal board simple lang yung pwede pang blues and rock

Gusto ko sanang palitan ng Strat yung Les Paul ko. Should I do it?
And
Gusto ko sanang set-up ng effects ay:
Wah - Artec Twinhead - Digitech Bad Monkey(optional) - Arion Stereo Chorus - Analog Delay(optional)

Ok na ba yun? Please give me some advice
Thanks :-D

^oo nga kung walang reverb amp mo dagdag ka reeverb.......pwede ka rin mag invest sa tube amp with effects loop para di mo na need ng gain pedal yung mga chorus delay,,,, sa effects loop nalang para mas simple ang board mo :-)

Read. hehe. peace.  :-D

Try out the shredhead, that can give you some nice british tones for blues and rock. Ayos din ang twin head. If you can find an Arion Chorus, then good for you. If not, a Cool Cat Chorus would be a good replacement for its price.

A lot don't like the Bad Monkey. If ever you get to try it and don't like it, try to look at some TS808 clones by our DIYers.

I agree about the Reverb, or maybe an Analog Delay (probably those PT2399 based delays) to add some life to your tone.  :-D

Or get a Laney Cub10 if you're on a budget. Nice old school rock-blues tone.

Why not? Sometimes it's good to have a different feel.. I suggest checking out the strats sa The Music Source. The guitars there are relatively cheap and okay.

advice i'll stick to the strat...

iba kasi ang tone ng strat lalo na you want blues, strat kasi mahirap ipaliwanag ung tone nya twangy...
i already dispose here: Fender Strat 50th Anniversary Made in U.S, Fender Strat MIJ Reverse Headstock, Epiphone Firebird, Godin Acoustic, Octave OC2, XBOX 360.

My Gear: Hamer Vector, Fender Strat 57ri, Warlock and my Pedalboard...

I say ditch the plan to change guitars and get a nice amp first.

If you can acquire a tube amp, better. Push the tubes and get a nice crunch out of it. A clean boost pedal, a delay and maybe a wah will take you a long way if you want to play blues and rock.

If you go the solid state route, i say, get a nice overdrive pedal with a wide gain range. Again, i'd throw in a clean boost pedal (or another OD pedal), a delay and a wah into the mix.

I'd also go for a tremolo or a univibe pedal, or even a phaser over the chorus. But that's just me. :)

Good luck on the hunt.
