Sheila and the Insects did it again! Great anniversary party last night at Club VUDU and it could not be successful without your help. Thanks to Ace Rivera, Trici Nicolas, Tinay, Doogie Pagaduan, Harakiri Mosh's Mirza, Powerspoonz, Tabularaza, Gasulina, Urbal, Beverly Taņedo, Mark Tesch, Paolo Varela, and to all those who came. The bugs are back in Cebu and will perform at Club VUDU tomorrow night, July 5 for the 2nd round of their 10th anniversary club tour. Fresh from a successful anniversary kick off performing one full set at Gweilos, Libis last Sunday, Sheila and the Insects will again play an hour of Flowerfish ditties, unreleased songs, and old favorites from their previous albums. Bands to show support and also play are Powerspoonz, Urbal, Tabularaza (CdO), and Gasulina (CdO). Free SATI stickers will be given away at the entrance. Door opens at 6PM.

===============================================SATI turns 10, takes weekend trip to Manila

Sheila and the Insects addicts had better be ready to get the party started again. Though they just wrapped the recent Manila club tour last May, the band is coming back to Manila on the first weekend of July to celebrate their 10th anniversary. SATI will kick off the weekend visit with short sets on June 30 beginning with a club gig at 6 Underground in Makati City and an outdoor concert sponsored by JAM Radio. Their short comeback will include radio visits. The party series will close with an anniversary kick off at Gweilos in Libis. During this weekend trip, Sheila and the Insects will receive support from Spring Boutique, Menaya, Helen, and The Pin-up Girls.

SATI moves to terminate Flowerfish contract

Despite the problem facing Sheila and the Insects' sales and stock inventory of Flowerfish, the band ignored the frustration and resumed fun. Just recently, SATI members Orven Enoveso (vocals) and Ian Zafra (guitar) met with band manager Doogie Pagaduan and discussed the move to pre-terminate their existing distribution contract with V3/Viva Records to allow them to release a new edition Flowerfish CD, this time under Daybreak Records, a Cebu based record company. Although the release schedule of the Flowerfish new edition has not been finalized yet, a pre-termination letter had already been sent to Viva and was acknowledged. According to SATI's management, the new Flowerfish CD is aimed to be back on the racks by the first week of August.

Flowerfish stocks unattended

For a long time, members of SHEILA AND THE INSECTS' online community had been constantly searching for SATI's 4th album FLOWERFISH's availability in stores. Emails have been sent to the band saying that there had been no displays of the Flowerfish CD in major record stores since late last year until today. Other reports from friends of SATI affirmed this report and said that the staff of all major record stores where Flowerfish used to be available said that although there is a great number of customers asking for the album, the supply of the Flowerfish CD had ran out and no replenishment was made from the distributor. Just recently, V3 Records, a subsidiary of Viva Records to which Flowerfish was distributed, was said to have been dissolved by Viva Entertainment Inc. for undisclosed reasons.
