Ang dami ko na din na basa na comparison ng mga speakers na ito pero ang hirap pumili kasi sa dami ng websites na na check ko, lahat iba iba sabi.. :-D  Thanks! Good Day!

salamat sir sa info! nakakuha na ako ng KRK rp5 g2 pair. mismo ganda ng tunog nya. problema ko lang di ko mapatunog ng sabay. M-audio fast track pro yung interface ko. di gumagana yung Rca 3/4 output. 1/2 outputs lang gumagana kaya isa lang mapatunog ko. di ko alam kung bakit. tsaka may konting hum at hiss sya. siguro dapat gamitin ko TRS cables para balanced sya.  :-)

IMO...

KRKs were always on the brighter / trebly side...... I've used a couple of different models and its pretty much like that. They're good for tracking though coz you get to hear buzz/ hum/ hiss and other audio anomalies.
The BX-5a is quite good for mixes...

Hello, bloodshedd! Baguhang Question lang.. Ano mas wise bilihin, yung maganda sa Tracking o Mixing? Kasi wala pa din ako Monitor Speakers. Yung budget ko, pambibli ko na lang sana ng magandang Microphones. Kaya yung mga ka-Price range lang ng mga BX-5a at mga KRK RP5's lang napagpa-planuhan ko bilihin.

2c lang. As soon as you can afford it, upgrade to something bigger. There is a tendency to over-compensate on the bass frequencies on a KRK RP5.

Unless...you get used to them (vis a vis the response on other speakers) and learn its nuances enough that you can translate your mixes to other speakers.

I'd prefer mix monitors... translation kasi yung hinahabol nating lahat pag nagtitimpla tayo eh... Of course we need to listen to our mixes in different environments / audio systems din to "proof-check" our mixes.

Shot pa! Disco!

@BAMF: Thanks!  :-D Check ko din kung kaya ko pa I-stretch ang budget ko para sa mas malaking speakers.. Yung budget ko kasi talga para sa saktong Mics muna..  :-D

@Bloodshedd: Thanks! Subukan ko maghanap pa ng speakers na mas malaki na maganda para sa Mixing.. Salamat!  :-D

buti Krk yung kinuha mo.

Yung BX5A masyadong boomy yung bass. as in. maganda yung clarity pero parang sobra sobra sa bass. pero maybe it has something to do with the room rin.

Yup.... The room where you place your speakers is a big factor...

Plus the possibilities that:
a. There's a tendency to boost bass frequencies when we use smaller monitors.
b. There's a tendency that our mixes will sound bass-heavy because of the monitor placement in smaller rooms.
c. There's a tendency to boost bass frequencies as if there's a sub.

marami pa pong possibilities...

Basta your monitor speakers must be at least 4 feet away from the nearest wall.

It also helps if you have some absorptive elements in your room, although the bass is the hardest to design for, it takes very large absorptive or diffractive elements to do it right.

Another thing you can try is to learn how to mix at low volumes. This reduces the impact of your room on the translation of your mix. Of course you can audition it loud later when you're done.

And etc etc etc ...

Hi guys. I'm planning to upgrade from my M-Audio AV40's to the KRK Rokit RP5-G2. Any ideas where I can buy a pair? How much did you get yours?
