stereo PL Y-cable
« on: December 21, 2011, 12:51:45 AM »
san nakakabili ng magandang Y cable na female stereo PL sa isang end at dalawang male mono PL sa kabilang end? meron ako parehong male. gagamitin ko to connect ang stereo PL out ng keyboards sa 2 x mono input ng mixer. may nabibili kasing stereo PL cables na so yung Y na lang kulang.

TIA!

Sa Audiophile they have pre-made Y-cables by Quiklok. If I'm not mistaken it's 500 php standard length nila 3 meters

female yung stereo end ng quiklock? Tried magpacustomize pero walang female neutrik. May nabili akong proel connector na stereo both ends yun muna gamit ko pero will still get the quiklock for my digital drums. Tnx!

What you got is actually a splitter and not a Y-cable as you had originally wanted. There's a chance that some points of either end of the splitter will not sound properly since you're inserting a stereo PL to a mono input. Meron workarounds to address like i-half insert mo lang yung PL pero minsan nawawala din sa connection kasi nga hindi mahigpit pagka-insert. I suggest instead that you buy the typical but heavy duty (branded) 3.5mm to RCA and then just use converters (3.5mm-to-stereo PL converter and RCA-to-mono PL converter). Kung branded ang cable and converters you'll never go wrong.

My 2 cents.

I was pertaining to this
May nabili akong proel connector na stereo both ends
. Did you mean you got a non-Y cable but purely stereo PL to Stereo PL?

Anyway, based on your last reply I think you already got it figured out. Congrats!

ah yes it's actually a stereo pl extender if that's the correct term. it has female stereo pl on both ends to connect my y cable and stereo cable which has both male connectors. used it to connect the psr and dd65 to the mixer on our new year reunion and it was great :-)
