The Ortigas area is really a big problem for audio set ups because of the high power FM transmitters in the area that are always over modulated and spew harmonics. Best way to avoid it is to use three pronged or balanced input/output jacks or XLRs and sources. The attraction of interference would normally be from unbalanced sources like cassettes, CDs, MDs, etc. Grounding would be best but if not available, RF beads are an option. These are placed in between the solder points of the connector section of the unbalanced sources. What can also help is to reposition the equipment and the wires in a way that they would not attract as much RF. Wires and connectors would normally act as antennas, thus repositioning them in such a way as not to accept much interference sometimes solve the problem.
