hi folks

im trying to help out a friend with his dpeds. he has these discontinued pearl double peds: (the righty version of this)
http://en.woodbrass.com/images/woodbrass/PHA-P122TWL-B.JPG

the joint bar that connects the other ped is broken. kinabit lang ng alambre pero its a temporary remedy and apparently, the machine shops could not weld it.

are there any replacement parts for these?
is there any place here where we can have this repaired?

any help would be greatly appreciated.

thanks!

It's actually called a 'drive shaft assembly' not a joint bar.
The part# is DS-200A (http://medias.milongamusic.com/Photos/Zoom/109240Z.jpg). You can try to call any JB branch and ask them if they have accessories for Pearl Elims available specifically the drive shaft assembly. Yupangco used to sell this item when they use to carry Pearl but Im not sure if JB already has this item available. You could also check the ad of one of our fellow forummer selling a drive shaft assembly that came from an old Pearl double pedal. Hope this helps your friend's concern.

Share ko lang yung nangyari sa akin last Saturday, during a gig.

Thanks in advance.

I've read na Lithium Grease daw the best na lubricant eh.. sa ace around 400 ata each yun..

yup lithium grease is the best pero mahirap yata ipasok yun sa bearings. masyado din mahal kasi yung 250 e isang maliit na tube lang yun na kasing laki ng burn ointment.

id still go with spray type lubricants para madali iapply. silicon is the next best thing, hindi nangingitim

Yes Yamaha should have that, but I don't think it will be readily available here in the Philippines. There are several ways to innovate and replace it with different  nylon straps. But then again those don't break easily unless you kick the bass drum like HULK. :-D

You can have it professionally Powder coated for durability. For chroming try Chrome Dazzler.
