How to spot a fake Ibanez/Washburn?

I've seen a Washburn electric guitar in a music store here in our place. I've been eyeing that guitar for a long while until now and I've been considering whether I'll buy that one or not. I'm hesitating because I'm not sure if their "branded guitars" are genuine. If it ever happens that I'll buy one, what things should I look for in order to be sure about the genuineness of a Washburn? Same question goes for Ibanez guitars. And another thing, I've been having some suspicious thoughts on that store since and my paranoia worsened when I saw a displayed YAMADA acoustic guitar.

Sometimes the tag price is a dead giveaway na fake ung guitar or ung craftsmanship di pulido,decals iba kesa original but don't just rely on that,better be safe buy from the distributor that sells the item that you want

curious din ako.. any washburn fanatics na makakasagot?
aside from fake fenders and lp's, maraming nagkalat na washburn sa mga small music store..

it depends what is being faked, i did notice a small shop here selling washburn copies and its the N2 style, why? all four guitars had the same serial number..

  meron akong kaibigan na gusto bumili ng Jem, sinabi ko nang fake, ayaw maniwala tigas ng ulo! hehe
