HELP!! Amp ground hum!

Ok ganito kaso mga bro.

1) New house
2) New amp
= NOISE!!

Tried the amp sa Perfect Pitch before buying, ok naman. Went to arie's place, tried my guitar ok naman walang hum basta grounded. Arie said baka daw grounding issue yun. Nakita ko may pinipindot siya sa may outlet to ground his amp, tapos pag naka-engage yun, nawawala noise.

Yung plug nung amp ko, yung standard na saksakan natin (2 flat metal strips lang).

Paano ba to mga sir? Btw, total noob ako sa electronics, any recommendations?

try mo gamitin yung amp nang walang kasabay na appliances (like electric fan, air-con, TV, etc...)
also., check the common culprit.., (cables, guitar-wiring, etc..)

Wala din effect bro eh, and im looking more of a permanent solution that's viable. Siyempre before bringing it to arie, i checked everything from cable to pedals to wiring. And yes, ok nga yung guitar nung tinry ko sa grounded amp niya.

Yup ungrounded nga yung outlets sa house bro, pero problem is, wala din ground pin yung saksakan nung amp. So gagana parin kaya yun?

Same goes with the surge protector, will it "ground" the amp knowing na wala naman ground yung outlet and wala naman ground pin yung saksakan?

pwede karin gumamit ng noise gate para medyo mawalawala yung hum. depende din kung gaano ka lakas yung hum.

Meron akong Vox AC15 and Peavey Delta Blues before. 2-prong plug din, no transformer. No noise. 

How loud is the noise? Maybe hindi mo lang napansin nung tinetest mo sa mall kasi maingay dun.

Pero pag hinawakan yung metal parts ng amp or guitar, tumatahimik. Tapos may sinwitch lang siya sa may outlet niya then sabi niya "ngayon pakinggan mo", tapos naging super tahimik yung strat ko sa amp niya. I guess ill ask him about that pagbalik ko doon, pero baka lang may PM members that knows kung ano yung ground na ginamit niya don.

Ahh. Actually normal lang naman yung tumatahimik pag hinawakan ung metal parts. Nagiging part kasi ng grounding ung katawan mo.
You can lessen the noise that occurs when you're not touching with shielding paint. Mike Sison did that for me and malaki ung tinahimik ng strat ko. 

Mukhang okay din ung ginagawa ni Arie pero paano kung sa ibang venue ka na tutugtog? Hehe.

More than 10 years nako tumutugtog sa labas bro, wala naman akong issues na ganon sa mga gig places. Except for the behringer dati sa magnet highstreet haha, may pumapasok talaga na AM radio every friggin time!

Pero weird lang talaga kasi nagkaron lang ako ng problem nung lumipat ako ng bahay. I still really suspect it's the outlet talaga just like arie said, kasi 2 different amps na, same results.

Anyway pina-general checkup ko narin yung strat wiring/pickups/electronics/etc. Update daw niya ako tomorrow kung ano makita niya.

difference lang chief yung amp ko 3 prong yung plug niya so ang ginawa ko since walang grounded outlet dito sa amin and naka 3 prong yung amp ko, pag gumamit ako ng universal adaptor (3 prong to 2 prong) yung para sa grounding may wire na naka hook-up sa wire going to make-shift ground point na nilagay ko near sa outlet para sa amp ko. di ganun kalalim yung temp ground point ko since improvise lang (concrete nail around an inch deep lang not like real grounding that goes up to several feet deep) but this solved the noise, ang laki ng nawalang noise chief. 

i know hindi permanent solution to chief like yung hanap mo, but it did work for me kaya share ko na rin.

This is not a noise from your chain so DON'T use a Noise Gate pedal. Papalitan mo lang plug mo ng 3 prong na socket ok na yan. I had that issue before and I used my PC power cable na 3 prong, nawala na ung issue. Bili ka ng heavy duty para hindi masira agad.

Problem ko doon sa 2nd option, yung outlet ko walang metal screw sa gitna para madikit yung metal tab.

I have the same concern here in my place.  Annoying hum is there but it goes away when I touch the strings, machine heads,etc. Interested ako malaman kung anong meron dun sa outlet ni Arie since we're moving in to a new place. Baka pwede akong magpalagay nun sa lilipatang bahay.

Sakto sir meron akong 3 prong na extra from my PC, will try it out sa universal adaptor ko. Ok na kaya yung ganito sir para masaksak ko yung 3 prong to 2 prong?:

parehas ulit, puro plastic ang outlets sa amin kaya option 1 din ako eh.

mas masaya kung diy lalo pag success hehe.  pero if you want it to be permanent medyo madugo pag diy since it will involve installing grounding sa electrical system nung bahay mo.

for diy, bali ginawa ko chief is attach a wire from the 3rd prong/ground ng power cable ng amp (yung round prong usually) before connecting to the universal adapter tapos connect this wire to my ground point. see pic below, but will post actual pic ng gawa ko mamaya pag uwi.



isa pang option ng ground point is if makita mo yung mga water piping ng bahay nyo and steel pipes pa ang gamit pwede ka maka snake ng wire and attach mo sya dito papunta sa socket para sa amp mo. got this idea from boss mark, alternative sya since water pipes also goes deep sa mga walls, floor, etc.
