Vocaloid Music? Any thoughts?
« on: August 09, 2011, 08:05:06 AM »
There's been a trend in Japan about these digital singers called Vocaloids. I also use vocaloid software in my songs since I really can't sing.
They even made personalities for each vocaloid and moreover they made animation software for them to make music videos of it (see my avatar).
The sound is really impressing if you listen to their Jpop songs. Of course pagdating sa ibang language eh medyo weird na pakinggan depende
sa pagkaka edit ng vocals nila.

I admit sinusubaybayan ko yung software mula nung lumabas ito nung 2003-2004. I just hate the fandom that started when version2 came out where
virtual diva started. Which actually made me feel really weird because I love the software as much as I hate the fandom. It's a VSTi, not a pop idol!

It's like the "angel and devil" cliche

I also need your thoughts about Vocaloid, being a Singing Synthesizer Software, and being Pop Idols.

Reminds me of the movie SimOne.

I know a songwriter who does his demos on vocaloid as guide for his singer.

Technology really surprises us!

Lalabas din yung version 3 next month daw. Sabi nila mas natural ang boses nila tapos dagdag language support.

As far as fandom naman meron dating live concert ang mga vocaloids tru hologram..  :|

Yun ngayon ginagamit ko sa mga compose kong songs habang nasa hiatus yung banda namin (you may not remember it but it was featured in your site years ago kuya nolit )

This one is so cool haha! matagal ko na ring naririnig to, pag gamit mo to parang ibang genre agad ang ginagawa mo eh kahit may specific kang genre na sinusunod, I hope na sana ang target nila in the future ay hindi maging sobrang realistic nung tunog, mas ok na tong sobrang Synth eh, well siguro konting enhancement lang, pero sana talaga wag na something very realistic, mawawala yung essence nung "Vocaloid" eh (for me).

would actually love to hear each vocaloid users' technique lalo na sa labas ng j-music genre..

wow its been almost 2 years..  :-D...
