slim pro audio speaker
« on: August 07, 2013, 03:47:02 PM »
can you guys suggest a slim and tall pro audio speaker primarily for vocals. i dont want to use stands. gusto ko sana yung parang old style elk speakers:

im seriously considering this DIY plan from billfitzmaurice.com

the downside is comb filtering from the tweeters. maganda daw tunog talaga kung malayo ka sa speakers pero kung nasa small room at malapit ka masyado, dinig yung CF.

i have a krk rp8 g2 and a samson d412. i dont want to use the krk for the sole reason that we play loud and dont want it to break. im donating the samson d412 - its really nice. i really really like it but its just too big my new drum room. i cant get smaller powered speakers like samson d408 because they are not enough to project the vocals during our practice volume levels.

stop me from getting a bose 802. actually i really really want a bose 802 for as long as i can remember even though i know that there are better and cheaper options. i'll be forced to buy wall mounts which will suck and kill the studio vibe.

why not just use floor monitors?

not enough floor space  :-D

napupusuan ko rin yung bose l1 or similar type like the fishman. usually 2 vocalist naman kaya tag isa silang speaker running in mono strictly for vocals.

Dual 8" under-balcony, column, or wall-mount loudspeakers

Not sure if you'd consider something like this too:
