Rotosound String Users Thread

Can you tell me about Rotosound strings? Are they good?
I recently found out the Guthrie Govan and Alex Hutchings Endorse them, thanks

Dati ok sa akin ang rotosound. Kaso nakabili ako ng may problem ang low E.

... no matter how/where i set the intonation saddle, sobrang off ng pitch! Pinalitan ko ng ibang brand.. ayun ok na uli

I think I tried them once before. Really wasn't into them that much. I'm still happy with D'addario or (kung makahanap) those Gibson na nickel strings. Although alam ko Rotosound yung nasa spare bass ko.

i've used the 10's.. standard tunning.. mabilis maputol ung 5th and 4th strings .. pero in contrast,, i found the high e to last in terms of "buhay".. o baka naka 10's lang ako.. never tried the 10's on other brands .. tinest ko lang ung rotosound nung naka tipid mode ako..

Rotosounds are made in England. Could it be kung bakit madaling maputol ang kwerdas nila sa atin because the strings were designed with materials for British consumption?

Curious kasi ako because I have never broken a Fernando Electric Guitar strings...

Makunat yung sound. Not like the slinky's. Parang used kumbaga, mabilis mawala yung treble in a span of a day or two. Buti pa fernando or yung gtx sa jb hehe mura pa

though hindi naman talaga ako Rotosound String user, nakasubok na rin naman ako. na-try ko na 'yung 10's. 'yung 9's dapat yung bibilin ko kaso walang stock. nung 1st week okay naman. pero nung 2nd week na, medyo nag-iba na yung tunog. tapos 'yung pagkaka-corrode niya, medyo kakaiba, parang kalawang talaga. 'di katulad nung ibang brands na nangingitim lang yung string. tapos matindi din yung kapit sa daliri nung kalawang. pero tignin ko, ganun talaga kakalabasan kasi tamad ako mag-punas ng strings eh. back to Alice at D'Addario ako ngayon.

i agree. i tried a couple of sets on my acoustic. madali silang maluma.

i also find the wound strings to have a weird design - yung unwound part of the wound strings where they sit on the saddles.

heard some good feedback with them. tried their 7 string set on one of my friend's guitars and the feel is quite satisfactory (well i usually put baby oil or wd40 on my strings before and after.)
Although I'd stick with Elixirs due to my sweaty hands.)

Short life, 8/10 sa tonality and clarity, dirts easily.

pangit ang tunog. first time ko pinalitan yung strings nung Ibanez acoustic ko from the stock d'addario. my guitar just died.

used to use it - ok naman - stopped using it madalas kasi may kalawang ang isang string out of a set of 6

Okay sya pang alternative. Pag napututalan ka ng string then wala ka pa pera para sa new set ng elixir or daddario or whathaveyou... ayun tingi tingi muna ng rotosound
