It's not Sonar's fault. Check your soundcard's drivers.
Sonar 4.04PE/5.2PE/7.02PE/8.31 PE, Project 5 v2.5.1, EmulatorX 1.5, Cubase SL2, Ableton Live 7.14,  Intel Q6600 MSI P43 Neo 4Gb Crucial Ballistix Tracer DDR2-800, Emu 1820m, Yamaha DSP Factory, Terratec DMX 6fire

I guess your sound card and its driver are the problems why may topak ung playback. Kasi the only soundcard that could work with sonar are soundcards with ASIO Driver. Ako I use a Creative SoundBlaster 5.1 tpos I use ASIO4ALL driver and it works fine with Sonar 3, 4, 5 and 6 which I use now.

What I meant was... Creative's drivers might not be vista-ready yet. It's not because of asio or wdm compatibility; Sonar can work with either driver model, plus Sonar 6 works quite well with Vista, ASSUMING you can download the 6.2.1 vista update from Cakewalk's site (and I've seen the other so-called 'updates'). Asio4all works with XP quite well but it is somewhat flaky under vista since the 2.8 release is still beta and it only supports 32-bit vista, not 64-bit.

Well, I can. hehe

Anyway, Creative has released x64 drivers for the SBLive series which theoretically should work with Vista. Unfortunately, the older SBLive (pre-5.1 and pre-24-bit ) are no longer supported. I got a lot of mileage from my old SBLive... too bad it's being put out to pasture.
