m audio question

if i have an m-audio fast track usb do i need to have a m-audio soundcard? or fast track will work with ordinary souncard?

The fast track IS your soundcard. Please refer to your manual.

actually la ako fast track. just thinking bout what i need without spending much.
maybe ito ang pagiipunan ko. do i need to have an amp modeler? or the GT player express will do?

Why not start with the M-Audio JamLab instead? It comes with GT Player Express and is also a usb audio interface.

Yeah the Fasttrack replaces your sound card. I think the Fasttrack is out of stock at JB, though. I have the Fasttrack Pro USB.


The Jamlab looks like a good option if all you need is a way to record your guitar.

And GT Player Express, frankly, sucks ass.

Check the Free VST and Soundfont thread for better amp and effect plugins. I liked the BTE Audio ones, but YMMV.
